Group aims
Between April 2018 and March 2018 6,207 children and young people were reported missing in the South Yorkshire area.
Safe@Last was founded in 2000 to help children and young people at risk of running away, and is now part of the Depaul UK family.
Group activities
The services we provide include:
Prevention workshops in schools to educate children about the dangers of running away from home.
- One-to-one support for children and young people and their families.
- A 24-hour helpline for children and young people.
- Support for other professionals around running away and related issues.
We work throughout the South Yorkshire area, and deliver
prevention workshops and performances in schools around the country.
Running away from home is a complex issue which is often a
symptom of other problems. Safe@Last supports young people who have suffered neglect, physical abuse, self harm, conflict and violence at home, sexual exploitation and mental health problems.
We are lucky to have the support of our community and many wonderful fundraisers within it; we could not continue the important work we do without generous donations from our supporters.
